Dr. and Mrs. C.D. Fretz will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on December 21, 2018. Dr. and Mrs. Fretz, the former Dorothy A. Martin, were married at the Crystal Lake Evangelical Free Church in Crystal Lake, Illinois on December 21, 1968. The past of the church and father of the groom, Dr. Clarence E. Fretz, conducted the ceremony.

Dr. C.D. Fretz has been pastor of the Richland Baptist Temple for the past 50 years. Mrs. Fretz has been active in the church and the Richland Christian Academy.

The couple have four children: Joy (Jason) Cornell, Faith (Brian) Peckham, David (Jennifer) Fretz, and Hope (David) Donough. They have been blessed with 21 grandchildren and one great-grandson. All their children and grandchildren reside in the Richland Center area.
