Johnny McDonald and Carmen Zuberbuhler, Gratiot, were wed 50 years ago on May 25, 1968 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Gratiot.  Attendants were Tom Vosberg, Steve Kent, Jim McDonald, Rodelle Zuberbuhler, Ann Mahoney, the late Joyce Schultz, Lorraine Bartels and Laureen Donahoe.  They were blessed with three sons: John (Heather) McDonald, granddaughter Ava, as well as Kelsi (Jacob) and Taylor; Joe (Jamie) McDonald, grandson Brone, as well as Ellie, Dane and Izzie; Jared McDonald.  They enjoyed an Alaskan cruise and train ride in honor of their 50th wedding anniversary and will have a family dinner at a later date.
