David and Joyce Wessel will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday, June 24 with a mass at 5:00 p.m. in Mineral Point at St. Mary’s – St. Paul’s Catholic Church. David and Joyce (Holtz) were married in Manchester, Iowa on June 24, 1967. After moving to Wisconsin, they began milking a small herd of Brown Swiss cows near Calamine. Together they have farmed for almost 40 years near Mineral Point, growing their operation to nearly 700 Swiss and Holsteins cows. They have four children: Michelle (Dan) Grinnell of Clyman, Wis.; Rhonda (Dan) Strang of Madison; Carmen (Dave) McDonald of Darlington and Rod (Lindsy) Wessel of Mineral Point. They are also blessed with ten grandchildren: Ashley (Stuart Martin) and Gary Grinnell; Cullen, Cayden and Carsen Strang; Cole, Bailey and Bethany McDonald; Thomas and Nathan Wessel.
Wessel 50th Wedding Anniversary
