Eila Butterworth of Platteville celebrated her 100th birthday with a party on her birthday at Red’s on the Course Wednesday. Butterworth was born in Whiting, Iowa, graduated from Iowa State University, and got a graduate degree in Arizona. She came to Platteville when she married Arthur Butterworth. She worked at UW–Platteville and became a VISTA volunteer when she was 60.
