On the beautiful, sunny afternoon of July 29, 2017, Bethany Anne Butson and Gunnar Mark Crowell were joined in marriage by Pastor Carter Jorgensen at Whig Church in rural Platteville. A celebration of their joy was held at the Potosi Brewery following the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Duane (Diana) Butson and Lori Gratz (Rod Davis), all of Platteville. She received her bachelor’s degree from Purdue University, earned her master’s degree from DePaul University, and is currently completing her PhD in Purdue’s College of Education.
The groom is the son of Dan and Lisa Crowell, Lafayette, Ind. He received his bachelor’s degree from Hanover College and earned his law degree from Indiana University.
The couple made their home in Salt Lake City, Utah, where Bethany is senior data manager in the David Eccles School of Business at the University of Utah and Gunnar is director of Planned Giving for University of Utah Health.
