BHS announces the 2024 Valedictorian and Salutatorian

Boscobel High School is proud to announce the Class of 2024 Valedictorian and Salutatorian. The Valedictorian is the student with the highest laude score (which is the cumulative grade point average which must be at least a 3.4 multiplied by honor points.) The Salutatorian is the student with the second highest laude score.

Trista Fargen, daughter of Shannan Aspenson and Dan Fargen, has earned Valedictorian honors at BHS. Besides earning top academic honors. Trista has also excelled in her extra-curricular activities. She has been active in Student Council, Leo’s Club, Forensics, Volleyball, Track, and Choir. She is also a two-time national champion in dance. Trista has earned Academic All-Conference honors and is a state nominee for the US Presidential Scholars Program. Last year, she was inducted into the Boscobel Honors Society. Trista also participates in the Youth Apprenticeship Program as Certified Nursing Assistant and is employed at Boscobel Care and Rehab. Her future plans are to attend the University of Iowa, where she was admitted into the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences with a Radiation Interest. Eventually, Trista plans to pursue a master’s degree in Medical Dosimetry.

Lilah Glasbrenner, daughter of Lucas and Joanna Glasbrenner, has earned Salutatorian honors. Besides her academic accomplishments, Lilah is very decorated in her athletics. She is a two-time State Champion and one-time runner-up in Track and Field (4x800 meter relay), along with being a State Champion in Cross Country. She also holds the seventh fastest school record for the Girls Cross Country 5K. Lilah has also been named team captain for our girls cross country team. Lilah has earned All-Conference Honors and Academic All-Conference Honors, along with Academic All-State Honors. Lilah is also involved in the Boscobel Swim Team, where she is part of two more Conference Championship and record-holding teams. Furthermore, Lilah is involved in Leo’s Club and Student Council, and she has been elected Class Secretary each year of high school. She is also a member of the Forensics team where she won a silver medal at the state level. Lilah was inducted into the Boscobel Honors Society, and she was honored as the Lion’s Club Student of the Month for December. In the summer, Lilah works at the Boscobel Pool where she teaches swim lessons, coaches swim team, and lifeguards the children of the community. She also works at Soldiers Grove Health Services as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Her future plans include attending UW-Madison, where she will major in Education and History while obtaining certifications in Leadership and Marketing. Eventually, Lilah plans to earn her master’s in Educational Administration.
