A rural Soldiers Grove man is facing charges for possession of marijuana with intent to deliver after an intercepted UPS package and subsequent search turned up nearly three pounds of processed marijuana, according to the Crawford County Sheriff’s Department.

Kevin Dohse, age 64, of rural Soldiers Grove, was arrested after the joint execution of a search warrant by the Crawford County Sheriff’s Department, Crawford County K-9 unit, and the Prairie du Chien Police Department at 50906 Johnstown Rd, in the Township of Utica on Monday, December 22 at approximately 3:30 p.m.

“Roughly half of the marijuana seized was at the Johnstown location, the other half was from the package intercepted by UPS,” said Lt. Investigator Jaden McCullick.

McCullick estimated the street value at $5,000 and said the marijuana was processed for sale, but was contained only in a single package at the home and a single package through UPS.

Dohse was released from custody on a two thousand dollar cash bond. He will appear in Crawford County Circuit Court before Judge James P. Czajkowski on Monday, January 5 at 2 p.m.

This case remains under investigation.
