Help wanted with stolen dog case

This Shih Tzu-Pekingese cross was stolen from the De Soto area in late February. Vernon County Crime Stoppers and the dogs owner are offering cash rewards for its safe return.

Vernon County Crime Stoppers and the Vernon County Sheriff’s Office, both in Viroqua, are asking the public’s  help in finding a small Shih Tzu-Pekingese cross reported stolen from the De Soto area in late February.

According to a March 12 press release, the black and white dog was reported stolen between 3 and 3:30 p.m. Feb. 23 in the area of Hwy. 35 and Gantenbein Road. It has a white stripe down its back and belly, and the tip of its tail is white.

A suspicious vehicle was seen in the area at the time.

In addition to the reward from the dog’s owner, tipsters may be eligible for cash rewards of up to $1,000. They will remain anonymous.
