PLATTEVILLE — Platteville police are investigating an attempted robbery off Second Street near the Avalon Theater Friday.

The suspect is a white male in his early 20s, approximately 6 feet tall and 170 pounds with dark scruffy facial hair.

The victim was told to produce his wallet, and when the victim did not comply, the suspect pulled a knife. The victim fought the suspect, causing the suspect to flee and causing minor injuries to the victim, according to police.
