Platteville's Badger Boys and Girls Platteville High School students (from left) Ben Bahr, William Cooley and Nolan Carroll were selected by PHS faculty as representatives to Badger Boys State, with Tanner Ames selected as an alternate. Each high school in Wisconsin selects boys to attend this week-long summer camp, held on the campus of Ripon College. The camp is sponsored by the American Legion and emphasizes citizenship, leadership and patriotism. Camp participants will be involved in mock elections and civic activities as well as recreational and motivational activities. Local sponsors of the program include American Legion Post 42, the Platteville Optimist Club and the Platteville Kiwanis Club.
