DARLINGTON – Lafayette County Promotions LLC welcomes Ken Schrader, NASCAR and dirt track alum, to the Lafayette County Speedway on Friday, June 16th.
The speedway welcomed Schrader to Southwest Wisconsin in 2016, but a rainy day put a damper on racing that evening. Schrader was anxious to return to Lafayette County Speedway in 2017 to make his mark on the track and race against the tri-states’ best Modified drivers.
In 2017 Schrader will focus on his dirt cars, racing some of the best tracks in the United States. As one of America’s favorite drivers, he may also run select ARCA and NASCAR races in 2017. Racing for more than four decades, Schrader has served in many roles including car owner with his team Ken Schrader Racing Inc., promoter, spotter, radio and TV commentator and author. He spent 30 seasons in NASCAR’s elite Cup series.
Schrader will bring his IMCA dirt modified to the Lafayette County Speedway on Friday, June 16th. Be sure to attend this one-of-a-kind event featuring Modifieds, Limited Late Models, SportModifieds, Four Cylinders, Sportsman Trucks and the Wisconsin Legends Racing Dirt Series. A NASCAR driver and an additional traveling class makes for a night of racing no fan, young or old, will forget.
“Schrader was kind enough to do a lengthy meet and greet last year which welcomed more than 200 race fans from multiple states,” shares Jason Udelhofen, Lafayette County Speedway race director. “We are anxious to welcome him back, and see how he handles the renowned three-eighths mile track with tight corners and the greatest fans.”
Mark your calendar for Friday, June 16th, and visit the Lafayette County Speedway website or Facebook page for more details as the date draws close.
