MHLC shows off ROSA robot at successful open house
3D capability allows for precise bone resection during surgery
Memorial Health

DARLINGTON – Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County (MHLC) hosted a successful open house on Sept. 26 to reveal the new ROSA robot that will be used in knee and hip replacement procedures. ROSA (Robotic Surgical Assistant) is a surgical robot that was designed by the specialists at Zimmer Biomet. Its advanced technology manages the measurement and planning needed for an ideal patient outcome. The 3D capability of the ROSA Robot allows for precise bone resection and alignment during surgery.

At the open house, attendees were able to watch a live demonstration on how the ROSA robot works. They also had the opportunity to meet Dr. Eamon Bernardoni and ask him specific questions. Dr. Eamon Bernardoni started with MHLC at the beginning of September. He attended the University of Wisconsin Madison, where he was named the Chief Orthopedic Surgical Resident from 2022-2023. His medical interests include joint replacements, sports medicine, carpal tunnel surgery, orthopedic fracture care and robotic assisted orthopedic surgery. He is a native of Darlington, Wisconsin and looks forward to continuing to provide the elite quality orthopedic care to Southcentral Wisconsin that has been established by Dr. Dan Stormont and Kari DePauw, PA.
