Public’s help requested in locating renegade goatRUSH CREEK - Molly, a former employee of Driftless Goats 4 Hire out of Lansing, Iowa, fled a grazing project last summer in Ferryville. She refused all offers of capture by well-meaning residents, and took to the hills in the fall. Believing she had perished as the meal of a predator, we were pleasantly surprised when the DNR informed us she had been sighted on a bluff in Rush Creek State Natural Area.July 26, 2023

Trout Unlimited interns surveying water crossings in countiesDRIFTLESS - It was a beautiful summer day on Thursday, July 6, for a visit to Crawford County’s Pine Creek Watershed in Eastman Township. Last seen by this reporter following the catastrophic flash flooding event in June of 2021, no signs of the ravages of that flooding remained. The stream flowed clear and cold, bountiful plant growth was bursting with life, and swallows and dragonflies darted through the air.July 19, 2023
