Travis Van Wyk of Eagles Roost Resort in Cassville gave a tour by canoe of the grounds which were covered by an overrunning Mississippi River April 28. The resort, like much of Cassville, prepared for the rising waters ahead of time, thanks in part to volunteer sandbag efforts. Due to that and planning the design of some of the cabins, the impact will likely be minimal on Eagles Roost, which is hosting visitors even with the high water.
