Rescue at grain bin - July 13, 2020

On July 13, at approximately 8:30 a.m., a call came into the Grant County Dispatch Center of a man trapped in a grain bin at a farm along Grandview Road in Liberty Township. The Stitzer-Liberty Fire department, along with assistance from Fennimore, Platteville, Lancaster, and Boscobel fire departments, as well as Fennimore EMS, Southwest Health EMS, UW Medflight, and the teams from the Grant, Iowa, and Lafayette Technical Rescue teams, worked to free the man for two hours.
