Donald F. Hastert, 84, of Platteville, died peacefully Saturday, March 29, 2025 surrounded by his loving family.

Services celebrating Don’s Life will be held at noon on Friday, April 4, at the Melby Funeral Home & Crematory in Platteville. Pastor Mary Ann Floerke will officiate. Chapel Military Rites will be accorded by American Legion Post #42 and VFW Post #5247. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. John Baures, 63, of Mt. Sterling, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 21, at his home. He was born on October 4, 1961, to the late James and Delores (Kaiser) Baures in the Gays Mills area. John attended North Crawford High School and afterwards, he went straight into the work force, working for Cleary Building in construction and BAPI as a factory worker.

A Memorial Service will be held at 4 p.m. on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at Vosseteig Funeral Home in Gays Mills. Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. until the time of the service. John will be laid to rest at the Gays Mills Cemetery. Online Condolences may be expressed at www.vossfh.com.
