Eugene C. Kienitz, 80, Avoca, died Monday, April 27, 2015 at Bloomfield Healthcare and Rehabilitation in Dodgeville surrounded by his family.

He was born July 5, 1934 in Dodgeville, the son of Albert and Clara (Rakow) Kienitz.  He married Shirley Gumz in 1955 and together they had five children.  They later divorced.  He farmed for many years in the Clyde/Avoca area and later in life worked at Walnut Hollow, Dodgeville until his retirement.  He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Avoca.

Friends called at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Avoca on Wednesday, April 29, 2015 from 4-7.  Burial will be held in the Avoca Cemetery at a later date.
