John Egan Appell of Warren, Ill., passed away on Sept. 28, 2013, at the University of Wisconsin Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.

Jack was born on July 23, 1927, in Gratiot, the son of Leo John and Clara Agnes Appell. He was the eighth of eleven children.

The family received friends on Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013, at the Warren Community Center from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. A private family service was held earlier that day.
