Jon Miguel Strobel of St. Louis, Missouri, passed away last summer at the age of 59.  Jon was a former resident of Boscobel.

Jon was born January 4, 1964, in Evanston, Illinois, to Dana and Tom Strobel.  Jon’s family moved to the Boscobel area in 1972. 

Jon loved the outdoors and during his youth, spent many hours exploring the lands around the Wisconsin and Kickapoo Rivers.  He still owned and enjoyed the former house of his father in southern Crawford County.

Jon is survived by his son, Ian of St. Louis, mother, Dana Van Hoesen and stepfather Bob Van Hoesen of Gays Mills.  He is also survived by sisters Carey Schulman and Sheila Strobel and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Strobel and brother, Joseph Strobel.
