Marilyn Groom, 1932-2020

Marilyn Groom, of Boscobel, formerly of Steuben, passed away on July 10, 2020, with family by her side. Marilyn was born on April 18, 1932 to Clarence and Algie Spry. Marilyn graduated from Boscobel High School in 1949. Marilyn married Tom Groom in April 1951. Tom passed away in June 2008. Marilyn loved music including The Lawrence Welk Show. She could play a mean game of Euchre and 500. She was a good cook and pie maker. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. 

Marilyn is survived by sons, Gary (Lynn, andLynn's children Mandy, Chris, Jesse, and Cody), Jon, Blaine, (Blaine's children Aaron (Liz) and Candi, and daughter Meg Peterson (John, and children Andrew (Flammetta) and Logan). She is also survived by great-grandchildren, Avery, Emma, and Frankie; sister, Joan Raffel; and sister-in-law, Madonna Groom; along with many nieces and nephews. 

There will be a private family service due to COVID-19, with a celebration of Marilyn's life at a later date.

Phyllis Armbruster, 88, of Muscoda, died peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at her home.  A Celebration of Life was held on Monday, March 31, 2025, at 3 p.m. at the Pratt Funeral Home in Muscoda, 710 N Wisconsin Ave, Muscoda.  Visitation was held on Monday, March 31, 2025, at the Pratt Funeral Home in Muscoda from 1:30 p.m. until the time of the service at 3 p.m. The family suggests memorials in Phyllis’s name be directed to Agrace Hospice Care or St. John’s Lutheran Church, in Richland Center. The Pratt Funeral and Cremation Service is assisting the family with their arrangements.
