Mary Elizabeth Thompson, 93, of Dubuque, Iowa, formerly of Platteville, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday, Aug. 9 at Hawkeye Care Center in Dubuque.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, Aug. 22 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Platteville with Father Gregory Ihm officiating. The burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Platteville. Family and friends may call on Thursday from 9 a.m. until the time of services at the church, where a 10:45 a.m. a parish rosary will be prayed. In lieu of plants and flowers, memorials can be made in Mary’s memory to the Platteville Senior Center, 75 N.
