DODGEVILLE - Richard N. “Rick” Handel Jr., age 55, of Dodgeville (formerly Black Earth) passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, Sept. 14, 2023. He was born on Jan. 18, 1968, in Madison, the son of Richard “Dick” Handel Sr., and Karen (Mickelson) Handel. A memorial service will be held at GUNDERSON CAMACHO BLACK EARTH FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 1710 Center St., Black Earth, at 1 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 25, 2023, with military honors to follow. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday.

In lieu of plants and flowers, a memorial fund will be set up for Rick’s Grandson Logan II for his future education. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.

William “Bill” D. Peters, Sr., age 89 of Richland Center, passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2025 at Schmitt Woodland Hills.

William requested that no formal wake or funeral be held. We are respecting that wish. A celebration of life is being planned for a later date.
