POTOSI – Robert Louis Schmelz, age 79, of Potosi, passed away on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at the University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City, IA.  A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, October 27, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the Holiday Gardens in Potosi.  A private family graveside service with military honors will be held at British Hollow Cemetery, Potosi.  Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory in Potosi is assisting the family.
