Shirley W. Nielsen, age 87, of Shullsburg, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2014, at Lafayette Manor in Darlington. She was born Sept. 1, 1927 in Darlington, the daughter of William and Edna (Doughrety) Nevels.

Funeral services were held Friday, Sept. 26, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at Erickson Funeral Home, 508 Main Street in Darlington with Rev. Lee Smith of Community Evangelical Free Church in Shullsburg officiating. Burial was held in Union Grove Cemetery in Darlington. A private visitation was held.
