Sidney D. “Sid” Fischer, 86, of Lancaster, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at Dove Health Care in Fennimore.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, March 21, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory in Lancaster with Pastor Mark Hoehne officiating. Burial with military honors will be held in Hillside Cemetery, Lancaster. Family and friends may visit on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of plants and flowers, the family suggests memorials be given in memory of Sidney Fischer to Lancaster Rescue Squad, Lancaster and Bloomington Fire Departments, Parkinson’s Foundation, American Cancer Society, and/or the American Heart Association.
