Thanks to their successful fundraisers, the Soldiers Grove Lions Club was able to make $8,000 worth of donations this past year to the following organizations:
• Legion Post 220 in Soldiers Grove
• Soldiers Grove Red Coats
• North Crawford Rescue Squad
• Gays Mills Food Pantry
• Camp Auxiliary Legion Cabin Fund
• Lions Leader Dog program
• Girl Power
• Crawford County Restorative Justice
• Wisconsin Lions Foundation
• Improvements to the kitchen at the Lions Club shelter
• Christmas presents for school children
• Equipment for the Soldiers Grove soccer team
• College scholarships to North Crawford high school graduates
• Soldiers Grove Thanksgiving Dinner organized by Edna Groom
The main fundraiser for the Soldiers Grove Lions Club is their annual Dairy Days Celebration held over Father’s Day weekend in June. Additional money was raised by hosting the BMW Club and the All-Class Reunion, as well as serving beverages at the Art Festival.
The Lions Club would like to thank the Lions, Lionesses and community volunteers who have worked hard to make these contributions possible.
With everyone’s continued support, we can do it again next year.
