Most of us realize our postal service is in financial trouble. Did they help their cause by recently mailing out a letter, 1st class in an oversized envelope, explaining why our delivery could b earlier or later than usual?

Did we really need to be spoon-fed something so inconsequential? If we were concerned we could call our local post office. I wonder how many such letters were sent out and at what cost. Where has all the common sense gone?
