PLATTEVILLE — Senior standout Blake Thiry ran for 211 yards and four touchdowns, providing most of Prairie du Chien’s 376 rushing yards to lead the Blackhawks to a 41–13 Southwest Wisconsin Conference victory at Platteville last Friday night. The Division 1 Indiana recruit also caught three passes for 44 yards.

Thiry scored on a 1-yard run with 2:00 left in the first quarter to give Prairie du Chien a 10–0 lead after Xander DeHart converted a 20-yard field goal on the opening drive of the game.

Lucas Ludlum’s one-hand catch and run score cut the PdC lead to 21–6 with 7:42 left in the first half. That momentum after trimming the deficit lasted exactly one play before Thiry’s 65-yard run down the home sideline.

“Thiry is one of the best players that I have seen or planned against in my three years of coaching and it is very exciting to have a player like that,” said Platteville head coach Bryce Arneson. “I am excited that we have a kid like that in our area that is able to go and show what small town football is like on a national stage.”

Thiry scored on a 3-yard run early in the third quarter, then gave the Blackhawks' a 41–6 lead with a 21-yard touchdown run a minute into the fourth quarter.
