DENVER, Colo. — Before moving on to a Division 1 collegiate softball career at Mississippi State this fall, Boscobel’s Gretta Grassel still has one final club season to complete.

Two weeks ago, Grassel and her U18 Top Gun teammates won the 54-team Triple Crown 18U National Power Pool Tournament at the Colorado 4th of July Tournament in Denver.

The National Power Pool was the top division for the 54 best 18U softball teams at the week-long tournament, that featured more than 1,000 teams in multiple divisions and multiple age grounds.

There were was also a Supplemental Power Pool Tournament for the next 41 best teams, a Fireworks Power Pool Tournament, and the Sparkler Open Tournament for 18U.

Top Gun Elite Softball is based out of Lee’s Summit, Mo. under the direction of head coach Bob Turner.

It is truly a special group of kids and I’m extremely proud of every single one of them!”
