Fennimore — Fennimore's Lucas Lendosky had a monster performance in the opening game of Fennimore’s American Legion Coulee Region sweep of visiting Onalaska Bi-State, Monday night. Lendosky went 3-for-3 with a double, a pair of homers and seven RBI in a 11–1 victory. His second dinger of the game was a three-run blast in the bottom of the sixth that ended the contest via the 10-run mercy rule.

The Fennimore 184s improved to 8–4 overall and 5–1 in the Mason Division of the Coulee Region American Legion League with the sweep.

Last Friday, Lendosky started and pitched strong into the sixth inning, striking out 12 and allowing only one run on two hits and four walks in 5 2/3 innings before reaching the pitch limit in a 9–5 nine-inning loss to Belleville at Belleville. He also went 3-for-4 in a 12–4 win over Gays Mills last Friday.

Lendosky, who was selected to play in the Wisconsin Baseball Coaches Association All-Star Classic in Oshkosh this weekend, was also named Second Team All-State as an outfielder by the WBCA. The lefty slugger batted a team-high .536 (45-for-84) with 16 doubles, five home runs, 51 RBI, 25 runs scored, 19 walks and a team-high .905 slugging percentage and 1.524 OPS. Ace Fennimore's pitching ace, he also went 5–0 with one save, a 2.85 ERA, a 1.307 WHIP, 97 strikeouts and 38 walks in 46 2/3 innings pitched, helping the Golden Eagles to a 21–5 overall mark and 12–2 in the SWAL to win a share of this year’s SWAL title with Cuba City (21–7, 12–2).
