WISCONSIN DELLS — Retired Cuba City boys basketball coach Jerry Petitgoue was honored for his years of service and dedication to the sport of high school basketball during a special presentation between the Division 4 and Division 5 Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association Boys All-Star Games Thursday, June 27.

 The WBCA honored Petitgoue with a bronze statue displayed in the hall of the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association Hall of Fame at JustAGame Fieldhouse.

In his 56-year high school coaching career, Petitgoue amassed a state record 1,027 career victories against 249 losses. In his 51 seasons at Cuba City, he led the Cubans to 12 WIAA state tournament appearances, three state championships (1981, 1989, 1998), while winning 29 conference titles. He was also named the NFHS National Coach of the Year in 2020.
