The Seneca softball team reversed their fortunes last week as they defeated the visiting Weston Silver Eagles 10-2 on Thursday, May 3.
The Indians scored 10 runs on 15 hits. They were led at the plate by Taylor Redman and Heather Wall, who both were 3-3. Redman hit a home run. Abby Kramer was 3-4 and Shania Sprosty was 2-4. Sprosty hit two doubles.
Seneca’s Brianna Brockway was the winning pitcher. She struck out four and walked three in seven innings pitched.
The Indians record improved to 5-8 overall and 5-4 in conference play.
Things were tougher for the Indians in Wauzeka on Tuesday, May 1. The Hornets defeated the visiting Indians 11-4.
The Indians were led at the plate by Brittney Roach, who went 2-4.
Lexi Sander led the Hornets at the plate going 2-4 with a double.
Things were even worse for the Indians on Monday, April 30 when they lost in DeSoto to the Pirates 26-0.
