Bulldogs v. Panthers
The Boscobel girls’ basketball team lost to Iowa-Grant, 55-59, in conference play on Thursday, Jan. 21.
“We played a very competitive game against Iowa-Grant,” said Coach Jason Hill. “It was their Parent’s Night, so there was a lot of energy in the gym.”
The Lady Bulldogs held the lead several times in the first half but found themselves down by two at the half. The second half was much like the first, although they hit a bit of a cold spell, which put them in a hole.
“We were down by ten at one point, but like we’ve done all season, we battled back,” said Hill. “We battled all the way to within one point, but just couldn’t get over the hump.”
Freshman Leah Wacker led in scoring with a career high of 27, followed by sophomore Alyssa Davis with nine.
The win/loss left the Bulldogs with a 1-6 conference record and 2-11 overall.
